Good point but I do not believe it matters. If the spring not engaging the petal is a concern for him he probably could tighten the nut on the foot petal and it would twist the spring up some. At least I think it would. Persanal it would not bother me because normally you would use the hand throttle to bring it up to 1200 or so RPMs anyway then use the foot petal. By then the spring would be engaged.I see that the linkage from the "C" plate to the foot pedal is orientated differently between your tractors. Not sure if that would make a difference.
