Tractor
kubota L3000DT
Twenty some years ago I built a small, 2800 pound, homebuilt tractor. The unique part about it is the use of a front wheel drive engine and trans-axle turned 90 degrees which uses only one of the original drive axles to shoot forward where it engages a transfer case from a 84 Nissan 4x4 then uses another drive shaft pointed rearward to feed the nine inch ford rear end which hangs on a pair of semi truck tires.

A link to a writeup in my blog. Will be trying to get some good pictures to go with it when I can.

Nice build! I can't imagine it would be that hard to add a 3 pt lift to something like that.

It does have one, center link and two arms. The lift is provided by a chain to the cherry picker. Only about ten inches of lift but worked well to lift my old three point mower. Couple of other tractors with three point at our place so no longer much need of it. But yes, if one wanted it could be improved upon. At this time tractor is pretty much just used for pushing, pulling, spraying and fun.
