Lines from pump to injectors

Will someone clarify the positioning of the lines running from the injector pump to the injectors. Page 11 of the yanmar service manual has the left hand side line on the injector pump going to the #2 cylinder and the right side line going to the #1 cylinder. The Yanmar parts catalog has them reversed. Which one is right or does it matter. Yanmar 2000

Note that Yanmar labels the cylinders on all its engines counting from the flywheel end, not the radiator end. The rear cylinder is #1.
