Limited Category 1 is the same as Category 0. The implements are slightly smaller to accomadate smaller frame tractors. I believe King Kutter has a line of Cat. 0 stuff that's sold through Tractor Supply Co. that you can take a look at to compare to Cat. 1 items.

You are going to get all kinds of info on this one,:( the Kubota BX also has a limited Cat1 TPH and all the implements that I have for mine are Cat1 and they all work fine, Post hole digger, one row cultivator, 7' blade for snow, 4' tiller, 5' brush cutter, 4' box blade, non of these are Cat0, and the BX lift arms use the same size implement pins as the limited Cat1 JD tractors. The only "limited" that I have found is the lift height.

Limited Cat 1 is not the same as cat 0. Cat 0 uses smaller 3 point pins. The hitch on the 2305 uses the same spacing and diameter pins as standard Cat 1. Some cat 1/0 implements come with reversible pins and you will/should use the cat 1 pins.

The "limited" on the 2305, etc. refers to the height. It can't lift the cat 1 implements as high as a standard cat 1 hitch. Although unlikely, it's possible that you could get an implement that you couldn't lift off the ground even at full lift since the 2305 wouldn't go high enough. Something with high pins like a chipper or something like that.

From a realistic point of view it won't limit you (no pun intended) except when you go to load the 2305 onto a trailer and want to lift the implement real high so it clears the ground when you go up the ramp you'll have trouble and probably scrape the implement on the ground. You can get a top link that adjusts to a very short length to tilt the implement way up and get some extra lift that way. This only works for loading since the angle of the implement would make it useless when you do this.

Orlo is right - Cat 0 is NOT the same as Cat 1. The 2305 is "limited" by height. This is similar to competitor products.

Agreed; lift height is the only "limited" factor. All other Cat-1 specifications apply.

Limited cat 1 arms are shorter. If you take a mower or something off of a non limited cat 1 tractor, the pto shaft will be too long. This is where the less lift comes into play. Becouse of shorter arms, and typically less ground clearance, you end up with a lower impliment at full lift. The limited cat 1 is found on sub compact and large garden tractors. You can run any limited cat 1 attachment on a cat 1 system, but a lot of ground engaging attachments for cat 1 won't work too well on a limited cat 1 system.
