I have a new LA463 front loader on a L2800 kubota. Would like to pull some concreted wood post which are loose. Any threads or ideas. Have seen some small hooks welded on older tractors. Do not know about affecting warranty.

It is possible, I usually put a hook dead center on the bucket upper lip. I would wiggle the pole first and loosen it. You may or may not have the lift force to overcome the wad of concrete on the bottom of the pole, may require some excavation around the pole after loosening with the tractor. If you are new to FEL operation just go slow and think about what you are doing and where you are applying forces. Hook may affect warranty, ask your dealer.

The best way I found..loosen pole much as you can w/FEL,bucket low to ground than chain/strap to center hook, slowly rise bucket..may have to curl bucket a little.

About how much cement/size on pole?

Be careful if rear end higher than front end..not level, tractor rear end may tip up. :(

Thanks. I will ask about warranty first.

If I'm not mistaken, the pressure will go into bypass mode vs. hurting or breaking the FEL. Short of ramming the post with the FEL (which would be abuse) you should not be able to hurt it by using the hydraulics.

The curl has more power than lifting. Wrap the chain around a couple of times, hook to the middle and have fun... :)

you might also forget the loader and use a chain. Get an old tire rim--the larger the better. hook the chain low on the post over the rim which is situated as close to the post as possible and then to the hitch (not the three point). The rim tranfers the lifting force up and out instead of sideways. I have had good luck this way. The best luck I have had is treating my neighbor to a cold one and he brings over his full size tlb though.

I have pulled many in a manner similar to tornado...but I just leaned three foot log against the post and threw the chain over that.
