I realize it's not tractor related...but I have an old Clark Carloader forklift ('48). When the forks are raised and/or the mast is tilted, it's either an all on or all off proposition. At work we had a newer Daewoo lift that would allow moderation of the lift and mast tilt.
Not being an expert in hydraulic valves...is there a type of valve that allows slow flow for cylinder movement vs. an "all or nothing" type of movement.
If you try and "feather" the valve handle, it bogs the engine and is not happy about lifting and/or tilting. The modern lifts I have experience allow the slow, moderated lift and/or tilt.
Need to be educated on valves. Appreciate the help.
