Lift capacity

Load light and carry LOW

Take into account the max lift height of the loader too, because that is where the rating is normally given. The higher the loader goes, the lower the number will be. Make sure both are compared at the same height.

Kubota gets dinged a lot for lower capacity but sometimes they are rated 10+ inches higher than other brands. At the same lower height of the other brands, the Kubota capacity will increase by hundreds of pounds.

If you could see the loader curves for all the tractors, then you can generally make an even comparison.
Also need to add that sales BS finds many ways to inflate numbers. You need to know if the quoted lift capacity numbers are to full height or just 24 inches from the ground.

Manufacturers also trade lift capacity for speed. Most anything can be lifted given enough time. I believe that Kubota tends to lean more heavily on the speed side of things. Kioti looks to look good (and is generally correct on their specs) with lift capacity.

There's a HUGE difference on how one should operate a tractor when traveling with loads on LEVEL ground vs with loads on UNEVEN ground. Not long ago I had to do a quick dump of a ton of feed (pallet) on my NX as I started to tip over as I slowly leaned into a depression. When you really start feeling all the weight up front just think of the strain that your front axles are going through. Lots of turning with a lot of weight will eventually take its (early) toll.

..and reach at height should be considered too.

From what I've seen telehandlers and load charts used for marketing them probably do the best illustration of how lift height and reach affect the total lift capacity. ..... and the same physics/considerations apply to tractors even though the lift arms are of a different design and attachment points.
