The field is coming along its growing, thanks to all the rain we had and there is more to come in the forecast.

Bon Chance!

BTW, North of Toronto is Detroit, Michigan....one of my favorite geography trick questions.
Your trick question’s answer is not Toronto. I think you mean Windsor….

Correct. I phrased it poorly here. Normally, I would ask students 'which country lies directly south of Detroit.'

Last time off I found some cheap hay equipment close to home so I jump on it $500 for the rake and $500 for the baler .... I did a trial run and made around 140 bales. The 1950's baler works like a charm after I sharped the knifes and I am glad it fit on my bridge! The rake need some work there is some slippage in the gears, that's going to be a winter project but other than that it works good and again it fit on the bridge so its all I can ask for.

love this combo on the tractor, brush hog and root grappler… rip what’s big enough and shred the small stuff.

From fall to winter...

I got married on my property it was simple and stress free by far my favorite weeding so far lol ... Not too many people so it was way more fun that way, the weather cooperated for the most part, it gave us a sunset to die for and northern light show at night, what else can you ask for ?

after that it was back to work ... there was a old town house trailer collapse in the back of the of my property so this was half way done in the process of tearing it apart and separating metal, garbage and wood.

Nice pictures and update. How long before all the snow melts there? Hope your hay crop does good!
Looks like a lot of work, but it will be worth it.

a other busy summer … with that fire restriction I had too much fire wood so I build a wood shack to store it. Installed gutter on each building in order to collect the water … not much to collect this year though.

Plowed, disk and seeded a section of field, made a swale in that field for better drainage. We also made a road to go to the camping site and seeded it, I had to spend lots of time watering it, we got no rain this year.

Second part of the summer after my vacation to the USA we did a fence for the horses, haven’t got time to bring them over yet but the fence is pretty much complete, only thing left is to cut the post to length, then I started building the water tower … she is higher then I expected lol now back to work for two weeks … Still lots to do before the snow comes in but I am pretty happy where I am at in my projects.

Some action on the property, moose comes over twice a year and they always cross at the same place, righ through the fence every time … I hope once it is electrify it won’t be a problem… Also found a fresh goose kill … probably a Coyote.
