LGTX power steering

I think I'm about to buy a lgtx 1050 to replace my lt 1050 in order to get a few upgrades, the main one being the power steering. Just wondering if anybody has had any first-hand experience with the electronic ps system, good or bad. Any other thoughts on the lgtx 1050 would be appreciated.

Got the LGTX 1050 about a month ago. Drove it around a little bit, and the power steering is great. BUT, when I turned on the deck, it vibrated so bad that I think in a few hours use it would rattle the whole machine to pieces. I'm guessing that when the dealer assembled it and did the service on it, that they never engaged the cutting deck. Doesn't make much sense to me. Got a call in to them now, but not getting much results.........

look in yer manual for a phone number to contact CC directly - They have district reps that can straighten out poor dealer service... or at least verify that your machine is set up correctly.

I'll never buy a CC with power steering or power deck lift...too many things that can go wrong. Sorry, I know you don't want to hear that.


Whoops, now I read further to learn you did buy one. Hope you can remedy this fault...and share any work-arounds.

I have a GTX 2154 le. After a little over 100 hours the power steering stopped working. My battery was also drained. According to my dealer, the unit would drain the battery, even with the key shut off. After some waiting, the unit was replaced under warranty. The new unit is supposed to have two diodes so it will never drain the battery and it will also make it so you can jump start it if needed. My dealer said that they had to replace quite a few of the steering units and it is quite labor intensive. Sounds like you have a problem with blade balance.
