lennyzx11,

Curious how wide your rear tires are, outside to outside, after your changes on your L3301? Glad to hear a flail is your most stable since I have one arriving soon and have some very steep ground.

Thanks,

Matt

My old L3200 is/was the same as the new L3301 minus the emissions junk... R4s were 60" sidewall to sidewall.

So if guess he'd be at 66" with a pair of 3" spacers. Would need at least 1.5" spacers to run chains on the rears.

I run an old 6 ft mott with 22 pto hp on a b7800 and it works fine. at first I was disappointed but after I put a new belt and aligned the pulleys with shims it works great. I would rather have a wide mower and go slower than a narrow one and have to bounce around all the time.

If you are planning on mowing more than once a year I would definitely think about a 6 footer.

I do like the idea of buying an Italian made mower for the higher quality & I understand it will hold better / higher resale value if & when the time comes for me to part with it. I just fear that there will be no market for it should that time ever come.

And, Ferrari just won the Australian F1 GP...Oh those Italians...they're sooooooo fast.

about to pull the trigger on a Maschio Giraffa 210SI, I was wonder if anyone had or knows someone that does? I am really tired of spending a day and half running running a weedeater around my ponds. My M7060 has the tires set at the widest which is 84inches and have the rear tired ballasted.

these are the two main ponds I try to keep mowed around, two of the pictures are of the same pond, as of now I have cleared all the cypress trees from around the smaller pond, not sure if this will work first time posting pictures on here

Caution - please double check your dimensions
With the width of you tractor you actually need to get the 210SE unit (outside gear box). The SI unit does not set wide enough to clear you rear tires. With the 210 SI you have 25" from PTO to inside of the unit plus about 6" to the pivot point - will not clear your rear tires. With the 210SE you have 42" PTO to inside of the mower unit which sets the pivot point outside your rear tires which is required to better mow side banks, etc. Look at the A-D dimensions on their web page. Iowa Farm Equipment -- Maschio GIRAFFA Series Ditch Bank Flail Mowers I have the Giraffetta 160SE and needed the additional offset of the SE unit to work on my tractor.

Hope this helps

I actually talked to Iowa farm equipment and they suggested the 180se, 185si or 210si. I ask about the 185se or 210se and stated to would be too much weight off the side to be stable.

Strange - Its only 45 lbs heavier. Might be worth checking again. You have plenty of tractor weight at 5300lbs. If you have a loader attached even better.

yes I have a loader and rears ballasted so I am over 8000lbs , I am guess because it hangs out to the side more? Powerscol has your 160SE lived up to your expectations? I have looked the rotary ditch bank mowers and just did like the fact that the weight is on the tractor 3pt hitch at all times when mowing. Looked at the Chinese stuff but worried about down the road if I need parts.
