Leinbach Root Rake (Landscape rack)

I am buying a L3240 w/cab, 4x4, HST with industrial tires. I am considering buying an 6' Leinbach Root Rake. Does anyone have knowledge or experience using the Leinbach Root Rake. Was wonder how good they were. (Also know as a landscape rack)

Yes it is a landscape rake but Leinbach calls it a root rack also. The link you posted is exactly what I am looking at.

Hi Bandit,
I have one and like it. Good value for the money. My suggestion is to go with the 7 foot width, (which is what I got and glad I did). It's not that much more money and makes it easier to get close to stumps, etc. With the 7 foot, you can also angle the blade/tines to go narrower, and still completely rotate it around without hitting your rear tires. Also buy a few extra tines for it, as you will break a few sooner or later.

Could you put a link to the model that you are looking at? Most on here will advise to go a little smaller on a grapple/root rake but it depends on what you are going to do with it. Are you by chance talking about a landscape rake like this?
Root rake

very cool implement i would put that to us all the time thx for the idea

Re: Leinbach Root Rake (Landscape rack)

I have the Leinbach 6' model. I use it to maintain my driveway. The rake is well constructed and with the optional guage wheels it is very simple to use.
You can see pics in my photo gallery.

Solo,
Thanks for the reply.
WOW you have some assortment of attachments. That United HD box blade is the one I purchased also. I am told it is a good box blade for the money.

Hey Solo...I also looked at your gallery. You have more toys...

Here is a neat thread with one more attachment that would go good with the rake, and put it up front. I am going to order one just after the holidays...Read thru the whole thread...

Attachments are like hand tools. You can never have to many.

I have the 7' model with gage wheels. I worked it very hard and had no issues with it at all.

I also have the 7' model but no gauge wheels. Used it on 10 acres we recently cut the timber off of. Worked the heck out of it on all the left over debris and have not had a single problem. Very tough rake.
