Never pass a turning car on a single lane road.
Thats messed up. If you signal, its because YOU are turning only. No false signaling, that does not help anyone.the first car pulls into the driveway and the second car accelerates straight ahead and now i'm on the shoulder or whatever wondering WTF.
My E Tennessee buddy said that's common, the second person was just telling me the first person was turning left.

I think he meant passing on the right, to get around the left-turner.Never pass a turning car on a single lane road.
yeah that second left signal is messed uphere's a good one. i've only seen this done in the mountains of E Tennessee and surrounding areas.
you are third in line on a country hwy/road. 55 mph
the first person signals to make a left turn and begins to slow down.
the SECOND person signals to make a left turn and of course now all three are slowing down, no problem.
i see the 2 folks in front of me turning left into a rural drive way.....they must be following each other?
i gently pull around the right to carefully pass them and......

I know that's what he meant. You shouldn't do it on a single lane road.I think he meant passing on the right, to get around the left-turner.
Stop in your lane until ALL traffic in ALL directions is also stopped.
Then and ONLY then is it safe to make your turn.... unless an airplane falls out of the sky in front of you.
Being courteous is for suckers, make them STOP.

Well, I mean, sure, you shouldn't go driving through someone's front yard to get around someone. But if there's paved space to get around someone turning left, I say use it. Like I said, a ton of our local intersections (especially the "T" intersections) have additional pavement added specifically for this purpose, so it must not be illegal.I know that's what he meant. You shouldn't do it on a single lane road.
Pull as far right as I can if if he still needs clearance pull into the ditch. I cut truck drivers and people moving machinery a LOT of slack. I grew up on a farm so...Maybe it’s a local thing. As said I use “A” when I know it’s safe. I see it more of a courtesy issue and it’s pretty common around here.
Next scenario. If you’re going down a rural two lane road and meet an oncoming tractor with a 24’ implement, a combine or cotton picker, what do you do?
