LED Replacement headlights

It is a whole new housing for the Jeeps and a simple, quick upgrade. I don't think they make a big deal out of it being DOT approved because several are for the Jeeps, and most of the better companies make their items DOT approved. I have noticed some shops/resellers list it as DOT approved in their advertising - it does seem like a good idea to list it, in my opinion.

As well as the 'off road' labelled light bars people install that are poorly aimed.
Adjust them with a spread pattern that puts plenty of light into oncoming traffic. Then when some SOB blinds you with poorly installed super bright headlights, fry his eyeballs. I'm a fan of vigilante action. The cops don't have time or inclination, so deal with it yourself.

The issue with that is you fry their eyeballs and blind them and then they run into you head on. Not good.

The problem is, people today are just downright inconsiderate.

LED conversions are getting alot of hate on this thread, but I am personally a fan. A quality bulb (I've used BeamTech) in the stock housing can be adjusted to both light the road better, but also not blind others as bad as described by others.
In both my trucks (2016 F250 and 2006 F350) I used the LED bulbs, took the time to aim them properly, and am quite happy with the results.
The 2016 F250 responded better, with a clear 'cut-off' at the top of the low beam pattern, to not blind others, and amazing light coverage on high beams.
The 2006 is noticeably brighter on the low beams, again, aimed properly, but the high beams are not as impressive as is the case with the other truck. I blame this on the 'factory replacement' stock style aftermarket headlight housings, not the bulbs. They have had a funny light pattern ever since I bought them, even with the original halogen bulbs in.
I think alot of the hate towards LEDs come from everybody and their brother using them but not taking the time to aim them Arizona DOC. They WILL require adjustments, or the consequences will be as described by other in their dislike of them.
For those that did not replace the whole headlight, but went with an LED bulb, which bulb lumen amount did you go with? I replaced my low beams with 12000lm bulbs and they don’t seem as bright as they should be.

It seems that the rating (LM) are sort of a joke, especially with some overseas companies. I have seen some 3000lm rated lights that are far brighter than 10,000 lm lights. The reflectors also have a lot to do with the quality of the light and beam pattern so the lumen rating never tells the whole story.
