Leaving Implements Raised - Bad For Hydraulic System?

/ Leaving Implements Raised - Bad For Hydraulic System? #91
That's kinda like saying "my vehicle never breaks down sitting in the driveway". :)
Or the typical farm one ..... "Damn it! It worked when I parked it last fall."

I have never seen/heard of any studies done on this. Common sense would say - lower the implements when you shut off the tractor for safety sake.
Two additonal things you might want to consider is #1 storing lifting equipment in the extended positon exposes the Hydraulic Cylinder Shafts to the elements which cause corrosion and #2 when cyclinders are stored extedned the hydraulic reservoir level drops and the reservoir can attract condensation which will contaminate the hydraulic system.
