I used to have to weigh down the seat on my old JD 4700 when using my 3 point hitch sprayer hand wand ( to keep the PTO going). I checked into it on the L4240 and all you have to do is fold up the seat!!!! Probably no big news for you experts but made me AWFUL HAPPY!!!!!! 😄😄😄

Personally, I use a piece of Velcro wrapped around the under-seat switch to hold it semi-permanently closed.

Too many issues with the under-seat switch and HST forward/reverse switch interacting so tractor will not start.

I do not recommend this to anyone else but that is what i have done.

Take time to read your Kubota Operator's Manual.
