Leaky Hydraulic Connector

All, one of my connectors for my hydraulics is occassionally leaking when I have the rubber plugs inserted into the female connecter when the unit is on. Versus the male connector being inserted and no leak detected - well I have not noticed this same condition. Since i have not done much with Hydraulics, I thought I would ask those with a great deal more experience - Any suggestions?

Another Quick Question - has anyone tried to use their rear finish mower as a brush cutter with heavy duty blades? I kinda need both but I only need the RFM for long term use. I guess renting the brush cutter might be a better option. Just wanted to poll your thoughts.

Nuru--is it just the runoff from disconnecting the hoses that is leaking? (the rubber "stops" don't really seal the connectors). I would think the RFM would take a pretty good beating (bearings gear box etc.) that would shorten it's useful life if you used it like that.

I don't think it is, it did not do this when I first got this unit. My 4100 also did not exhibit this issue, so that is what got me wondering. Also the other 8 or so connectores don't do this, only that specific one.

RFM - yeah i figurerd I was asking too much, even if I was careful.

drat! I might have to spring for both being used units and see if I can get a great deal like i did on my tractor and its turf tires set.
