I have a JD 318 that just started leaking hydro fluid from somewhere in the back axles. It's leaking down the inside of the rear rims. Started slow but getting worst. Does anybody know if this is a easy fix to replace (I would Assume seals) or something else.
Thanks you::confused2:

Welcome to TBN.

If you are mechanically inclined, give it a shot at the repairs. But If you havent wrenched on anything before, I would advise you take it to a dealer. Maybe if it was a little simpler we couldt talk you through it .

Good luck either way.

Look and see if there is some debris that has gotten wound on the axle fouling the seal. May be a simple fix.

Thanks for all you replies, I have wrenched things before, I was just wondering If it was real hard. I have heard that if you don't use hydro fluid and use tranny fluid sometimes it's thinner and does'nt work as well. My fluid if red so I figure it's tranny. I might try changing fluid first and see what that does. I'll try anything once, can't hurt!:laughing:
