Leaking tilt cylinder

I have a Koyker 160 loader and one of the dump cylinders is leaking. It hasn't affected the operation yet, I just notice a stain on the floor when it's been parked for a while. I've never replaced the cylinder seals. Is it a big deal, or is there special equipment? I could take it off and take it to the hydraulic shop in town, but generally here at Quicksand Farm we try to do things ourselves.

It's no big deal - get the seal kit from Koyker and spend an hour rebuilding the cylinder. You just need to take care when inserting the seals not to cut the lip when pushing it back into the tube. The parts are cheap enough and you can do it.

Some here may suggest you go ahead and do both cyl, but not me.

You can order both kits , but I would only fix what is broke and fix the other when and if ever it starts leaking. .

I guess they figure that everything similar breaks at the same time.

If that concept applied to tires, and one blows out, 4 at a time just because, wow.

An update: I ordered the seals from Tommy, they came today and I replaced them. Rich was right, about an hour. It turns out there are instructions in the owner's manual. I had to use channel-locks to take off the gland nut because I didn't have a wrench big enough, I didn't feel good about that but I don't think it hurt anything. I realized as I was working that it was much easier to do with the cylinder still on the tractor because you need something to twist against for the gland nut and lock nut. Replacing the seals was a little fiddly but I'm sure with practice it's not hard. Fired up the tractor and no leaks so I think I did it right.
