The new 7010 has sprung a leak. Hydraulic fluid is pouring out of a bolt in the loader valve block. The bolt is plenty tight. It seems as though the gasket or O ring beneath the bolt is faulty. On the outside of the valve block there are 2 what seem to be plugs. They are about 3/4". The bottom one is pouring.

This happens at the most inconvenient time because my truck is broken down too. Do any of you know whether this is a gasket or an o ring behind these bolts? I geuss it's possible it's a machining defect and a gasket won't fix it.

Joel,
Is there anyway you can get me pic of the leak? I THINK I know what you are talkin about, but I am not SURE.

From your description, this sounds like a simple straight thread o-ring plug. The o-ring probably blew out. Many times this will happen if they come loose. A 3/4" (-12) o-ring is a -912 in an o-ring kit. It measures .924" I.D. X .116" width. Fitting o-rings should also be 90 durometer. Standard auto store kits are 70 durometer. 90 durometer is harder. 70 will probably work in a pinch, but I would get the correct one eventually.

Does anyone have the exploded veiw of the loader valve?
I'm trying to figure out what is behing the plugs and whether or not to remove them and replace o ring. Scared there is a ball and spring behind the plug that i will lose or not be able to get back in.
