My JD 2350 is leaking a lot of fluid at the base of the cover of the transmission and thru the bases of the geat shifters. How difficult is this to pull the cover and repair?

Which transmission do you have? Makes a difference with Hi-Low trans. Cab or open station? Is there a PTO lever on the shift cover?

Not sure which trasmission it is but it does have hi-low. No cab on the tractor and yes there is a PTO lever on the shift cover.

With Hi-Low and the PTO lever on the cover there wlll be valves built into the cover. The tubes to these valves come in from the bottom, each will have an O-ring. There will be a retainer plate on the bottom of the cover it will have holes for the tubes with grooves cut for the O-rings.

So you will need a cover gasket and O-ring for each tube. If your shift boots are bad replace them too, major cause of water in the trans/hydrualic fluid.
