Leaking Fuel Filter Bulb

I am having trouble with a leaking fuel filter housing. I bought a new filter and rubber washer because the old one was leaking a little and since the replace I am having the same issues. My question is does anyone have a hack for this to make the seal better? I really don't want to order a new glass housing.

Is this on the Mahindra? I assume there's supposed to be some sort of seal/gasket where the filter bowl meets the housing. That seal/gasket sounds like it's damaged or missing.

I prefer cork gaskets myself. You can find them online, and I got one a couple of years ago somewhere local, but escapes me at the moment. NAPA has some, but, pricey..!! Depending on how long you want to wait, they are a lot cheaper on ebay, if they have the right size diameter.
