I need to replace the braided fuel line from the tank to the filter and from filter to __. I read on an old response to a post that I can use 3/8 common fuel line, but the response did not say whether that was OD or ID. I am assuming OD. I have some 1/2 on hand (it is 1/4 ID) and want to know if there is any reason why I can not use it? Thanks!!!

There is nothing to lose or damage if you tried with what you have on hand. from tank to inlet of injector fuel pump is gravity fed and cannot influence pumping , specially since 1715 sips fuel.
