LB1914 glow plug light

The glow plug light on my tractor is not coming on and the tractor wont start. Engine turns over but wont start. what should i be checking out and how? it has 185 hours and is about 9 years old. thanks.

Does your's have a "light", or the glowing "pig tail" wire in a viewing port? If it's the latter, more than likely the wire has burned through or broken and "0" current is going to the glow-plugs. You can by-pass the indicator with a jumper wire to the glowplugs, but only momentarily as the wire is also used as a resistor

Thanks, its a pigtail. I never would have thought of that one. I will check it if i can get home before dark. thanks again.
