lb1914 diverter

can someone tell me what the knob under the seat do?
i was told it is a diverter but what is it's funcion?

It will adjust how fast your 3 pt hitch lowers.

To carry it just a bit further, the knob when closed will not let the hitch lower all the way down. If someone hits the lever by accident, and the knob is closed, the hitch won't fall. Sometimes it's good to do this if you're working on the rear of the tractor.

Also, it only affects the speed of the downward drop, not upward movement.
