Tractor
Ford1620
My ford 1620 had a leaking hydrostatic unit. Wanted to split it on the concrete floor in the garage area and to fit better, I took off the 3 point arms.
Got the tractor spit, fixed the leaky unit and got it back together ( with no missing bolts or left over bolts!). Took it for a test run and it was leak free, ran great. Checked the loader and was good to. Tried the 3 point and no movement up or down. Messed around for hours trying different things, reading the manual etc. Accidentally leaned on the stub of the lift arm and it went down. What the heck? Oh right- Ford’s don’t have down pressure on the 3 point. Without the weight of the heavy 3 point lift arms it would not go down by itself and just my bad luck the lift arms had been in the up position. So the arms couldn’t go up or down when I moved the control lever. Probably won’t make this silly mistake again.
