Let me know what you think of the new hood styles!!!!!

Well, there won't be any problem telling the new ones apart from the older ones...I guess we can get used to anything, which is good, 'cause there's little we can do about it. Maybe someone should start a customization business, bring out a hood that looks, say, like a Mercedes. Or, maybe a retro kit to make them look like 8N's. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Jason,

Thanks for the updates.

Do you have any further pics of the Front Blade? Maybe from the parts list or something. I know you are in Texas & don't get much snow /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I'm building a front blade for my TC 18. I'm interested in the attachment hardware - I'd like to make it quick attach.

Thanks.

Maybe it's just me, but the shape of the headlights remind me of the front of a Ford Focus...

It's an interesting look. It's quite a big step to change a tractor that much, but I'm sure pretty soon they'll all look like that...

We currently do not have any parts lists for the new tractors. Hopefully once we get our new electronic parts catalog CD's in October the new units will be on them. If so I will try to remember to post something for you!!!!!

Jason,

I've got an old tractor - 2002 model TC18. Maybe the parts breakdown on the mounting frame Ref number 715422006 (got that from the MN state contracts page).

I'm specifically looking for the parts that bolt on to the tractor & stay with it.

I would ask my local dealer, but he's 40 minutes from my house, not easy to stop by.

Thanks again.

Sorry for the "thread drift"

I agree on the focus thing. My other issue is the lights on my TC24 with FEL are way too low, and these look even lower. Does look cool though. Hopefully replacement's wont be too expensive. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Well I talked to my local dealer on the phone. He faxed me a copy of the parts breakdown on the 702C. Doesn't have info on the new 702D yet. I suppose that might be the way to go if I ever want a front blower (as if the wife will approve that one /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif). They are working on getting pricing, the parts guy said the numbers were coming up invalid, but that might be because it is considered a "wholegood" - the sales department has access to those. I'm hoping I can buy a couple of the pieces. It is not economical to buy the whole frame (List $800+).

So - let us know when the new parts breakdowns get loaded, I'm still curious to see that.

Thanks yet again.

Check your email I converted it to a .pdf so you should be able to read it.

Jason - Thanks! That's just what I was looking for. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

FYI I think we can post pdfs <100K as an attachment if you care to.

The parts I was interested in for the 702C are no longer available per my dealer /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Looks like I'll have to fab them myself or wait for the 702D parts.

Either way, these parts breakdowns give me some great ideas of how to attach my plow.

There is no listing for a cab offering at this time.

There is quite a difference in hood styles between new and old. I would have to say I like the old hoods more. If I did not buy a JD I would go New Holland. Will the new Case compacts look the the New Hollands also? Also in the pics you posted it looks as if all the fender mounted controls are gone. Did they move them.

/ LATEST ON THE NEW COMPACT TRACTOR #73
The fender mounted controls are still there on all but the TC55DA from looking at the pictures. I am going to Sacramento next week for a school on the new TSA's; if they have any of the new TC's there I will snap some shots and post.

As far as I know, the CaseIH DX will look similar to the New Hollands with the exception of the lights/grille. The lights in the grille will drop down one level (compared to the old model) & the tag name Farmall will be attached above it.

The new loader for the Class II DX series is the LX114.

Thanks Spencer. I really think NH is missing the boat with the no cab/ac approach. I saw a post last year that showed NH compacts in Europe (maybe Italy) that had a/c cabs. I believe this is one of the reasons for orange's popularity.

I wonder if they did the research and concluded that the market can not support them to design a cab for the US machines. Would most CUT buyers be willing to shell out around $5k for a cab. If so what will they be giving up to get it as it is a expensive item. Maybe skip the hydro and loader? But then what will they use the tractor for? Cabs on compacts are a limited market and while it will be nice to see them, they might just concede the cabs to Kubotas larger compacts then to sink money in a project for a few sales. However, there are aftermarket cabs that might work for you if interested. I have a Curtis on my 1920, I didn't put it there as it was there when I bought it and it does a nice job in the cold. Don't know if it can have AC but who knows. Which reminds me, how many people have looked under the hood of a TNF or TNV with cab and AC. These tractors have more room then the compacts engine compartments and they still had trouble fitting the piping under there for the AC. I would never want to work on a TNV as there is no room under that hood.

The bizarre thing is that both NH and JD have cabs on their compacts sold in Europe.

JD 4000 Ten Cabs

The cabs already exist, the tooling is already there. I can only wonder if these cabs replace the ROPS and are non-ROPS cabs themselves - or there is some U.S. regulation that a cab is automatically assumed to be a 4-post ROPS and that these cabs at best surround the existing ROPS. Otherwise it's a really peculiar marketing decision!

They would have to design a new cab for the US market becasue the laws are a lot less stringent overseas on these issues.
