Well....I spent hours today trying to create a time lapse video with no success.

Here are a few more pics of the process. We are scheduled to plant the fields on Tuesday.

Here is a video of the final preparation on Monday, and planting (sprigging) on Tuesday. You can see I tilled the field for a final time on Monday afternoon. I also had an irrigation subcontractor add a booster pump on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday morning, you see me changing the nozzles on the sprinkler heads. Then another subcontractor sprigged it, then you see me spraying with a preemerge herbicide. Finally, we got the local fire department to wet it real good for the first time. The irrigation system should be able to keep it wet now.

I know this video doesn't show any of my laser grading equipment, but I'll make that video later. I had to buy a new slideshow making software to make this video, and this one is my first attempt with the new software.

Thanks for posting, maybe shorten the interval between frames would help.

Thanks for posting, maybe shorten the interval between frames would help.

I did try that, but with this software, the shortest interval is 0.2 seconds, which is where I set it. Windows Movie Maker allows me to set it at 0.1 seconds per frame which would make the video half as long, and which I would prefer, but Windows Movie Maker is the program that kept crashing when I tried making the videos, so I bought another program.

Did you buy the vibe poles or did you just weld on poles for your receiver? I picked up my new laser and the first of two receivers Friday and was not expecting the receivers to be so big. Trying to work out the mounting for these tomorrow. I did pick up some tubing sized to the clamps and a shorter piece of 2" pipe to use for mounting with rubber insulation between the two poles.

My pole was mounted by a local welding shop. Mine is removable. It slips into a larger diameter tube which is about 8" deep, and has 2 holes drilled through it and the pole for bolts to hold it in place. It does wobble a bit much, but it's nice to be removable.

The first time I used it with the pole in place I went under a goal and bent it pretty bad. Luckily I didn't have the receiver on it at the time. Now, I put flags on the ground under the goals to remind me not to drive under it.

Here is another video showing more of the actual laser grading. It was tilled, then rough graded, then tilled again, and then final graded.

Sorry for camera angles, it kept falling over.

The video is a bit long, but it does show more of the actual grading process.

Thanks for posting the video. The sites that I will be grading require cuts up to 3' in small areas and maybe 3" or less on average. I have started cutting the high spots down this past week and will start playing with this Monday morning. For me this is a pay as I go venture, so this first job bought the RL200 2/s laser, 13' tripod, 20' stick, and lsb 110 receiver. The next job should pay for the second receiver, Danfoss valve and control head. So this first job will be manual control and I will be able to come back after the complete system is operating and touch it up again before the field is planted.
