Rake Landscape Rakes

I wouldn't recommend the King Kutter unless using it for light duty. The one I got bent at the pivot when raking a field of dirt and grass. I returned it to TSC, and I got my $$ back.

Don't buy a York type rake, buy the original from York Modern.

Wow! I just looked at their web site (yorkmodern.com), and they're extraordinarily proud of their landscape rakes. A 7' 3-point model was $1454. I can get a 7' Land Pride locally for $700.

I would buy that 7ft landpride in a heartbeat $700 bucks is cheap,I was quoted $1200 for a new 7ft landpride rake.coobie.

Bill, was that at John Deere? They have given me what I thought were pretty good prices on a couple of Land Pride things.

I have a landpride w/ gauge wheels. Like everything else landpride sells, its built to endure commercial use and last!

Nope. North County Equipment Co. in San Marcos. A little shop I just discovered that's chock full of parts for old tractors. Very cool!

I came across an interesting ad the other day-- anyone have any experience with the DR "Powergrader" for driveway/road maintenance?

I haven't seen the Powergrader but I do own other DR equipment. DR pretty reliably makes serviceable and well made self powered smaller versions of CUT implements. Their brush cutter line is essentially a two foot bush hog that works very well. Their chipper is a light duty but well made unit too. I'm sure the Powergrader fits into this category as well. So long as you have a small area to maintain, or a lot of time to maintain it, it would likely work very well.
