Whats a good size? I see TSC has the KK XB series and its a 5ft model...this seems a little on the small side I was thinking of a 6ft. However I don't want to get something that is to much for the tractor.

I would say 5 feet is on the max size that a tractor that tiny can handle. A landscape rake once it pick up loam or other material can easily be carrying a thousand pounds of material.

IMO, your tractor should have no problem with a 72 inch rake. I use a 72 inch rake on mine, and the tractor does not work very hard.

I have a 72" rake that I bought when I had my subcompact. It was used on my machine, and a buddy's BX22. It's workable, but is a little on the large side if you are going to use it a lot, and try to move a lot of material. He found the same thing. I bought the 72", anticipating a larger machine in the future, and not wanting to have to purchase another rake when I moved up.

If you don't have plans to move up in machine size, I'd recommend the 60" rake for the BX.

I ended up with a 5 footer for my B3030..thanks to good old TSC....*S* ( That pack of idiots...lol)

I HAD a 5 ft KK rake ordered ( would take up to 10 working days...yeah! rIGHT!!) Waited nearly 5 weeks...NADA...nothing. I wanted also the dolly wheel kit but they wanted $200 for the wheels alone...

FINALLY they called and said it was in..and I had already bought wheels and such to build my own dolly wheels...so I went to get it. They had another brand there...the small model ( BX.??) in a 5 foot width..WITH dolly wheels...for more than $100 LESS than the KK WITHOUT dolly wheels...??? I took the one with the wheels...:D

I guess I better call TSC to see what they have in stock...there are three all an hour or more away....I don't want to have to drive to all three to get what I want....

I had a BX2200 and 6' rake. It would stop my tractor on uneven ground and if it picked up to much stuff. I believe you would be better off with the 5' unless your just picking up leaves or on very level ground. I traded BX to a B7800 and kept rake and the B never hesitates or stumbles with it doing the same jobs.

Called the nearest TSC...they had both the XB Landscape Rake and box Blade...they could only hold it for 24 hours so I just went ahead and paid for both over the phone...picking them up Saturday...

Can't wait to try the box blade on the driveway!!
