Greetings- 2nd. time posting, but a long time lurker. I have a Landpride 84'' rear scraper blade, and I need a york rake. Is it possible to get (cost effective?) just the rake attachment and swap it with the blade- maybe by removing just the nut from the main pivot, removing the blade and replacing it with the rake?

I don't know if its possible to purchase just the rake portion, but it sure is a good idea.

Elmo,

It is entirely possible. It does swap out just exactly like you said. I have the 72" version and checked into it. The rub is the cost effective. Just the rake head was $525 or so. I thought that a bit extreme when just the blade was $450 or so. I opted to pass. Been admiring the First Choice rakes though.

Added note: After admiring the FC rakes, something to consider is they might just be a 1 for 1 bolt on or limited mod required to work with a LP 3ph frame. Would be much cheaper than the LP version. If you go for it, let us know.

I even had a guy willing to go almost 1/2 way with me. But I have VERY limited needs, and what with bldg a garage, it still wasn't worth it.

Why not? It would be no different than buying a replacement part. get the model # of the whole rake assembly you want and have the parts department get the part # off of the computer for the rake and order one. Sometimes buying parts seperatly the prices seem high. Good luck.
