If you really want to get it tabletop smooth it's time to get old fashioned;
Moldboard plow the ground, then disc it several times in multiple directions, then break out the original land plane for flood irrigation.
These are land planes,
an old small one;
And then a good working one;
Even with these it would often be diagonally a couple of times then straight.
