LA513 or LA723

Kubotabilly,

Thanks for the information. I'm planning on calling the dealership tomorrow and hopefully they can work out a deal for me.

Can you tell much difference in the rollback breakout force? That's where my 513 seems weakest.

Thanks again,

Smitty

You got it made. I really like the extra dump/rollback you get with the LA 723. You may not quite understand this until you use a loader without a good rollback degree. By the way, I have a Yellow and a Chocolate in the opposite order of yours. I love them to death.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Smitty,
The loader is far better in every aspect. Here's my theory on loaders. If you never had a loader and bought an LA513 you would think it's the best. I made the mistake of thinking that the 513 would be far superior to the LA402 that was on my B2150. Believe it or not, the smaller loader on my B2150 would out do my 513, it just took longer. Before I made my decision to trade up to the 723 I measured the cylinder diameter and the 723 had cylinders 1/4" larger that the 513 cylinders. I didn't think that would make a difference, boy was I wrong. If you recall in one of my previous posts I had a photo of a large stump that I dug out and was moving it to the burn pile. My 513 loader would only lift it 3" off the ground. I traded loaders, and took the new 723 to the pile and I could of flipped the same stump over the cab of the tractor. Unbelievable force /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Other than having more power that the 513 the 723 has only 2 differences, larger diameter cylinders and the loader sticks out further in the front, which is great for loading trucks. When I traded, I left my rear loader mounts attached to the frame because they were the same for either loader. Ask your dealer to test each loader. Trust me, you won't go wrong with the LA723 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

RAT,
I ditto that on the roll back qualities of the loader. You can haul a bucket of water and not spill a drop /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Hey, aren't the Labs great dogs /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Actully we don't have any dogs anymore, too heartbreaking when the pass. The labs in the photo are our neighbors and we babysit them a couple of times a week when their away. Very well mannered animals. The yellow is a 2 yr. old female and the brown is a 3 yr. old male. Both finished in the top of their class in obedience school. The brown is afraid on the kubotas' and the yellow would drive one if she could /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

I'd go with the L723 myself also. Got one my L3130. It's lift and curl advantages are worth every penny. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bill,
I called the dealership today and it looks like they would rather not trade loaders.
I am supposed to call back tomorrow before 3PM to get the answer.
If I could get a decent trade for our L3130 GST for, say a L3430 with a LA723 I will probably go that route.
Thanks for the information on the LA723 it was great.

Thanks,
Smitty

If you can possibly afford it, get the 7 series. A lot of folks have them on their 3130s. I don't think there's a question here /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Actually, while you're at it, you might want to consider the 3830 with the 723! If you getting a machine for the long haul, get the bigger one for what you're talking about. Give yourself a couple of days and the price won't bother you anymore. You'll thank yourself later.

"too heartbreaking" is right. I lost my lab "Jack" a few months ago. My young kids still ask about him all the time. It's enough to bring a tear to the eye and it's enough to make you not want dogs anymore. However....I will get another dog. They're the best!

LOLOLOL!!!!!

Ryan, I read that post and said "Oh thank you God, I knew you hadn't forsaken me! I knew you were watching over me, and making sure that through your mercy I don't have to go through life in agony and frustration, as my fellow human beings fail time and again to see the value of my humble and lovingly offered opinions, based on observations that I have made, and conclusions to which I have come, by trying my best to use the gifts of reason and logic that you have so graciously bestowed upon me in order that I may try to do your bidding by bringing peace, joy and horsepower to my fellow man". /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Then I thought, "What the ......... I don't remember posting that???" /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

And now, I'm thinking that Jim and I were surely separated at birth, and that I have a twin brother I never knew I had! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Merry Christmas all, I hope you all get presents as nice as the one Jim just gave me! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Bill,

Well the dealer would not trade just loaders, and the difference between a new tractor, an L3830 with the LA723 was ~7K soooo, I'll have to be contented with what I have, at least for now.
