Kubota B2910 HSD
New to forum, have a B2910 (230hrs) bought new in 2001 with a LA402 quick connect FEL. I have never had any problem attaching or removing the LA405 from the B2910 until now. Hooked up 4 hoses. I have them color marked so I cannot connect up wrong. Had all new hoses built and I installed 3 years ago.

When I hit the joystick control to rotate bucket to set LA402 in tractor connect cradle nothing happens. Fluids ok, just seems like the hoses go very taught and flex a bit, I do not stay on the joystick long afraid I might blow a hydraulic cylinder or hose.

This sounds like a hydraulic value issue, but not really sure.

Any help from this vast knowledge base would be good to help me determine what is going on.

Has the loader been used successfully since you replaced the hoses ?

The hoses going taught and flexing would seem to indicate they are getting fluid under pressure.

Sounds like the hoses are not connected correctly - you could try swapping them around and see what happens.

That's easy and cheap.

Just remember: the related ports for a given function are stacked over top each other and are not side-by-side ...

Yes, FEL has been used several times since new hoses. Knowing how the ports layout is useful as I can trace hose routing to the cylinders to make sure all look connected to either the up and down arm travel and the bucket scoop and dump travel. I will give it a try.

Maybe in my young 62years I am getting color blind........

I've had my grapple hoses pop out if they aren't seated in real good. One hose can pop out but not fall away from the other one.

I've had my grapple hoses pop out if they aren't seated in real good. One hose can pop out but not fall away from the other one.

Tried redoing hose connections based on info that movements for bucket and lift being front to back on the valve body and things went from bad to worse in a hurry. based on tracing lines from valve body to cylinders I reconnected and results were a bit less than desired. Looking from the front of tractor I routed hose 1 and 2 to right side of valve body this should be in and out( ie dump and scoop) for the bucket cylinders. Also placed 3 and 4 hoses based on steel line tracing to lines 3 and 4 for lift and drop of bucket arms. This does not seem to be the proper configuration as the lift cylinder how has the cradle alignment so far out of wack that I was with only great effort able to uncouple the hoses as they were taught on the nipple connections to a point of almost able to disconnect. I had the hoses color coded and have NEVER had any problem loading or unloading the FEL. I am now beyond confused why this is not working. I have used this tractor since new for 15 years. I will have to reset the lift cylinders via bleed now in order to try to get enough play in hoses to try something else.

This cannot be rocket science. I can track hoses and steel line path easily, but exactly how the valve body works on connections is still a mystery. And why this issue all of a sudden? Stumped. I know the answer is out here somewhere.

Check for a bad coupler.

I had a loader valve fail a couple of years ago. It was fixed by kubota no charge. Dealer mentioned that the valve was a known problem. The dump detent was an issue.

Thanks for info, I called local dealer I purchased the tractor from and described the problem and they are saying it is a hose hookup problem or maybe a bad coupler. Will continue to try to arrive at a solution.
