LA130 starting problems only clicks

I'm new to this first time
My buddy has a John Deere LA130 the other day he ran it out of fuel. After refueling turned the key to start and all it was doing was clicking. Thought is was the battery or Solnoid but both are fine, I was hoping someone has had these issues. Thanks again Matt

Check connection at small purple and black wires at solenoid also key switch connections.
