How do these come apart? Replacing the rear glass and need to disconnect the strurs feom the glass brackets so I can install them into the glass without having to try and keep the entire assembly compressed while doing so.

The ball joint (Item #240) threads out of the bracket.

Hang on to the clip, they like to go flying if pried too far back.

Do NOT attempt to keep them Compressed. Open the glass Fully then disassemble per instructions below.

Those little spring clips slide off - then the cylinder pops off the ball stud(s). If you stop into an auto supply store (or similar) they may have a package you can open to read the R&R instructions. Also, look for a YouTube on Removing Gas Operated Struts

"To remove a gas-operated strut, you'll typically need to release the mounting clips or fasteners at both ends of the strut, then carefully detach it from the mounting points. This often involves using a flathead screwdriver or a tool to release the clip and then pulling the strut away from the ball joint or mounting bracket. "
