Understanding everyone's needs are different. I don't get never changing the drop speed?? I use a large variety of 3pt equipment and change the drop speed frequently. Even on the little JD.

I adjust for weight every implement change.

Me too. I'm way too OCD to slam an attachment on the ground every time I lower it.

Yes, I have only 3 implements for the 3pt, but have to change the drop speed with each, as they all have different weights.

My little JD has MMM mowing duty. It's lifted by the 3pt. I screw the knob out for fast drop. Then I put the 5ft BB on to do some light dirt work. Man that thing slams into the ground hard!!!!! Then I pull a Murph and screw it in too far.

The adjustment on my L4060 allows very little rotation by design... maybe a quarter turn at most.
Previous L3410 had a large knob that would turn a lot more.

Thanks guys! I will start on it in the morning. The tractor was stored in a garage for over ten years. A box blade was on the tractor the whole time so I am sure the knob was never turned.
