I'm changing the hydraulic fluid (UDT) on my L5030 and noticed on the front drain requires a large alan wrench (The manual shows a regular drain plug but that is not what is there.)
Does anyone know what size alan wrench is required.
Thanks

I can look in the shop manual, but I often find that the head of a hex bolt can be found to fit...then, use a wrench on a pair of nuts jammed together, or a t-handle welded on ...of, you can mike the one that fits to find the size--easier than taking an inside measurement, IMHO

Good idea JoeL!

I called the Kubota dealership and spoke with a mechanic and he said that there are just 3 drains for the HST. So I went ahead and drained the three and filled up with UDT fluid and it was suppose to take 11.9 gallons but only 10.5 fit. Now I really don't know if the alan type bolt was a drain or not and if there are really 4 drains like the manual says ???
