I found an 2003 for L48 on Craigslist for $9000, w/FEL and backhoe. Based upon what I have read this appears to be a good price, anyone disagree/ disagree? In addition, how would this tractor be for brush hogging and use of a finish mower or is it more intended to be used for construction/ landscaping equipment. I looked on Kubota's website to see what the groud clearence is, but that spec. is not listed.

It would be used on appox 30 acres, 10 cleared, terrain is flat and hilly. Need to clear another 5 acres of 8 to 10 ft Cedar trees and brush hog the other 10 acres that are clear. Is it too heavy for routine cutting...would this make a good farm tractor?

I am planning to look at the tractor, what things should I look for or check out to make sure this is not a money pit. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Dennis... I think it is a scam. The price and the way the ad is written gives it away.

You could respond with a yahoo or other free e-mail if you want to find out more. I'm certain that the Tractor is NOT available for inspection...

The poster will probably offer to deliver it for free once a nominal deposit you send clears his bank...

Look around at different dealers and what they are asking. Anywhere from 26 thousand to 33 thousand depending on extra's. No way you are buying a 48 for 9 thousand,

Dennis, I don'tsee where you need that type of a machine when a regular Kubota tractor will do fine. The construction type tractor with it's extra built in heft and hydraulics is mighty nice but it is normally to heavy for fine mowing depending on your soils.

About the price or lack of, it's a scam, good price, no, steal!!!!

$9,000 for a used L-48......sad part is that people believe it's real.

Definately agree, Big time scam. No way you are going to get a l-48 for that. If it is not that person has no idea of what he has.

Well I e-mailed the poster (or imposter, take your pick) yesterday indicating I would like to view the tractor. I never heard back from him/her. Also, after posting my original message yesterday I looked at Fastline and Tractorhouse and realized the tractor was grossly underpriced. Definetly a scam.

I aprecaite everyones response though.
