L4400 HST

My brother and I were on a daytrip today (cabelas, lunch, etc.) and we passed a Kubota dealership; well, we almost passed it. There was an L4400 HST on the lot so we stopped to look at it. Nice machine, seems big compared to a B7800, and this one had the optional larger R4s which made it seem larger still. Their parts guy gave me the following "ballpark numbers"
L4400HST @ $18,500
FEL @ $4,100 I didn't ask if this was the QA
2 rear remotes @ $1,071
Sunshade @ $374
Draft control @ $395


I forgot to ask for a price on the Top 'n Tilt option, though.:

I got a L4400DT with the LA702 loader and the Rino 172 mower and grand total was 18885.23
I traded it my L3400 with the loader had 520hrs on it. Well out the door and on the trailer total after tradein was 7204.88. So I thought I came out pretty good. The 172 is a beast of a mower it likes the RPM's to be around 1800 in 2nd High when taking down brush (Texas Sage).
Over all I really like the new power and the bigger loader.

If I ever decide to trade up, that would be the tractor I'd get.

It's a lot of tractor for the price.

A L4400 HST?? When did that happen? Just checked the Kubota site and they aren't showing the L4400 in an HST. Only the gear drive. Sure it was a L400 and not the L3400?

For that price and "draft control" the L4400 only has that option going for it.

MFL, It's new this year. The dealerships I've stopped at don't even have the new pamphlets for it. I did get a copy of the spec. sheet, and last Thursday was the first one I've seen. My local dealer has one on order, but it's not due to arrive until May. There was a post by the Messick dealership that they have already sold one.

I think you misunderstood me. I just figured at that price which is higher than a L3400 it must be a L4400.

I don't have a opinion good or bad on the L4400 since I have never owned one but since it's a Kubota it must be a good tractor.
