L4200 front leaking oil

I have a 1995 kubota L4200 4wd that I bought used last year. When I bought it, it was leaking oil form the front axle on both sides where the front wheels pivot. My question is what stops this from leakind and how hard is it to change or fix.

If you plan on fixing this yourself I highly recommend picking up a Kubota factory service manual. The manual should give you pretty good detail of how the front axle is assembled and what it takes to change the seals. If you don't want to buy the whole manual ($$) you may try to get your local dealer to copy the sections from their own service manual for you - just a thought. Good luck.
