Besides the horse power what is the difference between the two of these, as I stated my needs in the L39-jd110 post, 58 acres, will be running a 7' flail, replanting trees, etc thanks

The difference, is,........ night and day. Commercial grade TLB or homeowner compact tractor. The L39 is 2X the machine and more $, but worth it.

My Neigbor has the HST-L3400, I have the L-39.

If you do not need the hoe of the L39, make sure you get the 723 Loader if that is an option with the L3400 (or the 514) as the 463 is barely able to handle a bucket load of rock loaded by hand. Ballast the rears and it is a decent machine. The most you should pay for the l3400 is $17,000 to $17,500 , so half the tractor @1/2 the cost compared to the L39.

I'd get the Koiti HST 45S with the 401 loader for about $5,000 more than L3400. L3400 is to small for 50 Acres.

Keep in mind all the jobs you won't be able to do with the L3400 that you would be able to do with the L39. The $ value in those tasks over time will surely be recouped with the residual value-continued ownership of the superior L39. Maybe you should try certain common tasks on both machines for an informed decision. Nothing worse than buying the wrong tractor.
