I am narrowing down my options and looking closely at the differences between the L3400 and B3030. I know how much more capable the L3400 is over the B3030, but I also know the L3400 is a budget model vs. the luxo B3030. Based on the quotes I have gotten the L3400 works out to be slightly cheaper than the B3030, with a downright incredible $/PTO-HP ratio and very good $/lb. ratio (Kubota, JD, NH, Kioti - Kioti is better $/lb. but worse $/hp)
The key questions I have are:
1. what kind of really cool features does the B3030 have that I will miss not having on the L3400?
2. is there a significant difference in manuverability between these two?
I'm hoping to get seat time in both this week. Already got about 4 hours seat time in a B7800, which also seems like a great unit. (and would probably work just fine for what I need) Problem I have with the B7800 is I'd want a heavier-duty alternator (I want more LIGHTS!) , foldable ROPS, and an easier to hook up 3ph and by the time I buy all that I might just as well get the B3030.
