May be a stupid question, but I have just noticed that when I turn on my directional signal, the chosen side will flash while the other side will lite up steady. Is this the correct operation for the turn signals?

I just read about this the other day in my manual, and I believe that is what it said would occur when you use the direction signals.

If I remember right my 3830 also does this...

I think that it is a Japanese thing. Both of my Massey compacts worked that way also.

OK... I guess that is the way it is supposed to work. The more I think about it I can see a possible reason. If only one light was blinking someone following (or approaching) you might think is was simply a "slow moving vehicle" warning flasher... however with one lit up and the other flashing, it would appear more as a directional signal... Make any sense??
