L3400 compares to a L3200?

Does anyone know if Kubota has freight averaging? Being in Alaska we get high prices for some things and freight costs are high.

The other explanation is that my local dealer has decided a 30% mark up is the best method for him. Ouch

I will call him and ask nicely about this, if we can't work this out it may be time to go green. (oh my grandfather is going to roll his eyes)

Just a little back ground

I was raised in Minnesota north of the twin cites around St. Cloud. The farm is still owned by the family, but under lease to another local farmer. Who happens to be my fathers best friend.

In the first 2 years of the 1950's my great grandfather traded in his Farmall tractors for new ones, and 350 and a Super C. My great grandfather had one child, a duaghter, so his operation was all based on one man working. He never baled hay, he blew it in loose.

When i graduated i joined the US Air Force. This brought me to Alaska, and i stayed. Now my lovely bride has horses, and being raised by a farmer i use livestock type methods.

We had to clear land and build a horse yard. The first day her and my FIL showed up with a wheel barrow, a chain saw, loopers, and a hatchet.

I brought a back hoe! she now refers to my method of land clearing as "heavy equipment and Napalm"

The first year we cleaned by hand and hauled the apples with a garden trailer behind a ATV. Everyone sweated. SO we bought a B8200 because it was the only thing less than 100 HP that I could find. It has been a great tractor.

Now SHE wants to upgrade tractors, so i sure am not going to argue!
