Hi all, My 17 year old ride on mower is finally beyond economical repair and i came to the conclusion a sub compact would better suit my needs. Long story short i accidentally spotted a l3250 for sale..far bigger than i really need but i have the space for it, and honestly it was a bit of a Christine moment..it needs a few bits sorting out but only one thing stopped me bringing her home, the broken lift arm tab..they have made a bracket that is bolted below the pto to carry the lift arm on the side with the tab missing, had no phone on me to take a pic sadly. Would this be a common way to fix it on these models?..i can see the theory being fine but not knowing if moving the load on to the bolts for what i guess was the drawbar mount could end up doing damage. Pretty sure i could come up with a better bracket than they did..its just a matter of knowing where to put load so to speak. Sorry for the terrible description but was hopeful someone with better knowledge of the rear end on the old girl could offer some advice.

The pto seal needs replacing and the rear window..it seemed to start/run fine and in my uneducated opinion seemed in good condition.

Never having a tractor before or even driving one makes buying used hard to judge..i know really i should just get a newer smaller used model from a dealer with some kind of warranty but its love and i want Christine..never planned on a cab either but in hindsight it makes sense..not to mention the stats for her are compelling in general vs lots of newer sub compacts i looked at!

Found a pic of her online.

Thanks for any advice.

Nathaniel.

they go for between $5000 and $9000 both with the FEL, the one you show would be much less.. give pictures of the damage..

Thanks for the reply, i can get it for 3.5k..the price seems about right around here, and the choices are very limited in sub 10k territory, spotted lovely looking Goldoni q110 that i wish i could afford!

I have no photos of the snapped tab or bracket as i had no phone on me..and its a 2 hour drive away, i might head back Monday and take another look armed with a camera..unless someone points out a major flaw in the mounting bracket idea.

The price is right - ow many hours? Also you can find parts on Messicks - see attached PDF of the 3PT linkage and lower mounting pins # 60 for $39 each if this is the part you are referring too.

If it is the upper lift arm that actually lifts the 3PT setup - that's probably a bit more but still replaceable. Good Luck.

I agree, if the broken part is integral for the lifting if the lower arms, replacement is the best route. If you can ID the part from the diagrams above, search online by part number for your best price. If it is a Kubota only type bracket, then universal parts will probably not work.

The upper lift arm (2) are the same on either side ARM LIFT 38240-37613 $151.46 - so they are spendy - but these rarely break

I found this photo of what is called an L3250. It is an open station model, but...
From this photo, can you mark what tab you are referring to?
Take a screen shot and then mark it if you can ID it in this!

Thanks ever so much for the links..sadly its the tab on the main casing that the pins slide through that has been snapped off, upper arms are fine though and could see no other damage around that area, thanks for the help.

Thanks for your help, its a bracket they someone has made for it..fits right between the 2 pin tabs in the photo below, its bolted in thew position of the drawbar frame that has been removed, they didn't make use of the bolt holes under the casing though just the ones under the pto..i can think of better but not knowing what sort of force that part of the casing can withstand has me slightly worried about buying it. Thanks again.

You are a legend..have been looking for a shot of the rear for a while now, i would imagine the rear is the same on open station..it looks it from my memory, just remember thinking its a shame the tab was not on the brake casing as it would be a cheap easy fix. Thanks ever so much for the help. IMG_76059.jpg
