L3130
This is a legitimate post and I'm not a spy/clone/ company stooge/ and I don't like my L3130... Sorry! Had a specialist take the tractor for a pace test and results due this week. Seems the black smoke increases while RPM's decrease and the loader is cycled up or down.

Ramon,

You'll find out what's wrong with it soon.

Did you check the fuel filter? A friend of mine has a combine that did basically the same thing a couple of years ago and it turned out to be a clogged fuel filter. Just a thought.

Exactly how many threads are needed here to discuss one problem?

Hi Philc,
Well I really don't know, we have heard alot from the other threads, but now it sounds like Ramon is getting a better diagnosis.

We all know the symptoms of Ramon's tractor. Ramon's tractor has been in the shop, which is similar to a general practitioner, now he's had a specialist to look at it. I believe he is getting one step closer to restoring the power of the L3130.

My L3130 GST with the LA 513 has enough power. If Ramon lived near Augusta GA I would like to visit him and take a look at his tractor. I would probably trade with him straight up so I could have a HST, if he would do that.

Hope he gets it fixed.

OK! here's what the problem was. Foreign debris in the fuel tank restricting the flow of fuel...... It now seems OK! Don't want to speak too soon!

I am sure glad that you found the root of the problem and will be happy with the machine now. Some times it is a simple solution to something that seems major.

Interesting. A Kubota L4850 we have had that issue. A wasp (mud dobber) had made a nest in the diesel can spout and consequently, the little larvae thing as well as the mud ended up in the tank. It starved the engine which did not exhibit your symptons, it simply ran like it was on only 3 cylinders, it has 5. Anyway, I really hope that is your issue. Best wishes.
