L3130 GST 5th and 6th gear noise

When either shifting up or down to both 5th and 6th gear, there is a pinch noise. I wouldn't quite call it grinding, but it is quite loud and doesn't sound harmless. When in those gears at idle, a louder hummm can be heared than other gears as well. It seems to perform fine in these gears, but I want to know how to remedy the problem if there is one. Thanks for your help!

Mine has always done that in 5th and 6th from day one and now has over 1,000 hardcore hours on the clock, not a problem.

Can't say as I've ever noticed that in any gear on mine. How many hours do you have on it? It may just be the way the gears have meshed as you've broken it in.
