L3130 block heater ?

Mines decide to trip the gfi . So , I have a new one on hand . Before i change it , is it adviseable to teflon tape the threads on thej new one , or just realy on the thread to makej a goog seal ? Also what type grade of anti freeze should I use to replace any that is lost ? TIA , John

I would advise to teflon tape the threads on the new block heater. Use a good brand of anti freeze (check owners manual for type) or call your local Kubota dealer for recommendations. Unfortunately free OP manuals can not be accessed from the Kubota web site. Perhaps someone with a manual can provide the exact answer.

Your Kubota uses conventional green ethylene gylcol coolant like the stuff we used in cars 15 years ago.Almost a little hard to find at times-any auto parts store will have it.Mix 50/50 with water(better yet distilled water).
Teflon tape is OK-A brush type liquid Permatex thread sealer would be great-doesn't flake off to be circulated the system.Good Luck!
