L2900 Serial Number

The Ser. Number tag on my tractor (frame) is damaged and unreadable, where else would the ser number be on the machine???

Any guesses??? I was told by the gentleman I purchased it from it was 1997 vintage tractor. I guess I could try calling the dealer he purchased from?? would they have records like that???

On my 1997 L4200 its stamped into the right side of the transmission.
I believe its behind the hydraulic filter. Just get a flashlight and start looking, you'll find it.

There is also a sticker on the left side of the part of the oil pan that's below the frame but this may be gone on yours.
