KUBOTA L2800
I have a year old L2800 hst and recently had the opportunity to buy a Bush Hog PHD with hyd down cylinder. I have no rear remote on the Kubota (and after looking at many of the new models it does not seem to be a standard item on any of the smaller tractors (even the Grand L's) My local dealer is getting about 700 bucks for all the parts needed to add the remote----anyone have a good place to shop, or any experience with these?

They are options as some will never use them… I have two rear remotes on my L4200 and use them regularly. They are very handy and will allow you to use a few more attachments tan you will be able to use without them… The first one is the most expensive additionals just stack on the first.
Do you have a loader?? If you do you could temp use the curl circuit plumbed to the rear… but eventually you will like having the extra ports mounted to back … Good luck and welcome to the forum…
I’m going to guess you build hot rods… KennyV

Thanks Kenny---been a "lurker" on here for a while, but this was the first post. Was hoping maybe someone knew of an aftermarket kit that was better priced than what my dealer is trying to sell me---seems like a lot of money for a few hoses and a valve, but I do want it to fit and work correctly. And yes----I do build hotrods. Our specialty is chassis fabrications so we always are open to welding and machining questions. The tractor was an easy way out for me to not have to build a rod for myself! LOL

Pete,
First off, welcome to TBN.
On the subject of adding a remote, many members here have added them or had their dealer do it for them. There has been very few that had one added that didn't wish that they had went ahead and added the second one at the same time. After having one for a while they see how many things that they can use the second one for. There has been several that have then added the second one. Of course, it would have saved them quite a bit of money if they would have had them both installed at the same time.
There are several threads on adding remotes, both the factory version and roll your owns. With your fabrication skills it would be very easy to install a do it yourself remote setup if you was to choose that route.
